Our GFP Home shelters children who were orphaned or abandoned by birth parents who could not care for them. Our facility is a sustainable community built on 16 acres in Les Cayes, Haiti. The Figaro family donated the land and lives on the property with their three children, overseeing the GFP Home, school, family education center, crops and livestock. GFP's adopted children live in a family-style environment with separate living and bathing quarters for girls, boys, housemothers and volunteers. We have a full kitchen and a large open room that serves as our family room and indoor play area. Our family has clean drinking water, eats three meals a day and our children attend school. We are our own sustainable community. We tend livestock that provide milk and eggs and we grow our own fruits and vegetables. Walk around our property and you’ll immediately see the difference between our home and others in Haiti. Our children learn useful life skills, in a nurturing environment, free from the worry of hunger and abandonment. They can be children. They can be a part of a Family. |
