Sponsor the Global Family Philanthropy Orphanage

On January 12th, 2010 an earthquake of 7.0 magnitude hit Haiti. The center was only 10 miles from their capital Port Au Prince. Thousands of children have no place to sleep and many more have no families to turn to.

By sponsoring the Global Family Philanthropy Orphanage you are assisting us in relocating these orphans from Port Au Prince and surrounding areas to a new orphanage we are purchasing in Les Cayes, Haiti. These children will have either a permanent or temporary place of residence until they can be moved back to Port Au Prince or reunited with their families.

Global Family Philanthropy: Earthquake Relief Mission

Global Family Philanthropy was established with the intention of supporting existing, successful organizations located in Haiti. Currently, two of GFP’s supporting organizations are located in Port au Prince, Haiti, and have suffered damages due to the recent earthquake.

Through extensive fundraising, Global Family Philanthropy will be making efforts to raise monetary support. Through transfers and personal encounters, Global Family Philanthropy will assist in the relocation efforts of orphans and vulnerable children in Port au Prince, Haiti.

The following estimates allow the reader a better understanding of the financials each child requires:

· $100 sends one child to school for one year- including uniforms and supplies.

· $50 provides a child with nutritional needs for one month.

· $10 provides a child with hygienic supplies-toothbrush, shampoo, etc.- for one month.

· $20 provides a child with clothing needs for one month.

· $20 provides a child with basic medical needs for one month.

These amounts are small in appearance, but great in value. In order to assure that every child relocated receives the utmost care, and does not put a strain on temporary care facilities, Global Family Philanthropy is requiring each child be accompanied by $200 a month.

As children receive the funding they require, they will be matched and placed in care facilities that are safe. They will continue to stay in communications with their caretakers in Port au Prince awaiting the word for a safe return.

Sponsor a School

Less than 50% of the population in Haiti is literate.

All students have the right to attend school, however with the cost of materials and uniforms, many do not get the opportunity to attend.

In choosing to sponsor a school, you will be assisting in the purchase of uniforms, school supplies, teacher salaries, and the school resources needed to boost the literacy rate.

Sponsor a Container

Even the simplest luxuries, such as toothpaste and toothbrushes, are difficult to find in Haiti. In order to remain cost efficient, many organizations choose to ship goods via shipping container. This proves to be effective, but is still costly, averaging a total of $5,000 per container.

By sponsoring a container, you will be assisting in the purchasing and shipping of a 40 foot container filled with goods that are necessary for our causes to continue to run their programs.
